Overview:
Thanks to the Ahmanson Foundation, our Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopy facility has received a significant upgrade. We have purchased two new Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopes (LSCMs), one from Leica Microsystems and the other from Carl Zeiss MicroImaging. The Leica is in the 3rd Floor Ahmanson Intravital Imaging Facility (room 338) where our old Zeiss LSM 410 once resided. The new Zeiss is in room 220 on the 2nd Floor of the just completed Wallis Annenberg wing. What follows are brief descriptions of the two systems purchased and their capabilities.
