Margaret Winter, M.S., CCC-A,
Board Certified in Audiology
Coordinator of Clinical Services

 
Margaret Winter is a licensed audiologist and the coordinator of clinical services in the research department of the Children’s Auditory Research and Evaluation (CARE) Center at the House Ear Institute (HEI). In addition to supervising clinical audiology, speech-language pathology, and front office personnel for the CARE Center, Ms. Winter’s clinical duties include diagnostic behavioral and physiologic assessment, counseling, hearing aid fittings, cochlear implant pre-valuation and post-implant mapping and assessment.

She is a frequent presenter on cochlear implants in children, lecturing at National Educators of Children with Cochlear Implants (NECCI) instructional workshops, John Tracy Clinic Summer Sessions, Advanced Bionics Surgeon Training seminars and parent/teacher seminars, including “Options and Choices in Cochlear Implants” at Children’s Hospital Oakland. University teaching experience includes principles and practices of audiology and aural rehabilitation with a focus on children. She has presented to other professionals at international cochlear implant seminars in several cities. She has also published and presented on infant hearing assessment and hearing aid fitting and on auditory neuropathy in children.
