Shure Incorporated World Headquarters
in Niles, IL, U.S.A.

Shure Incorporated is widely acknowledged as the world's leading manufacturer of microphones and audio electronics. For almost 80 years, the company has designed and produced a variety of high-quality consumer and professional audio products, providing a vehicle for an individual’s personal sound.  Shure’s diverse product line includes world-standard microphones, premier wireless audio systems, top-rated phonograph cartridges, problem-solving mixers, digital signal processors, and personal monitors. Today, Shure products are used wherever high-quality audio performance is a top priority, in a variety of industries, markets, and settings.

Since its inception, Shure has been an integral part of the community.  Shure’s chairman, Rose Shure, has continued the tradition established by her late husband, S.N. Shure, by making corporate responsibility a part of the company’s core values.

Since 1925, helping people express themselves has been at the heart of Shure's business as a manufacturer of the microphones and audio electronics that are synonymous with self-expression. Wherever sound is amplified or recorded, Shure's been there. Getting involved in hearing conservation seemed to be a natural extension of the business

2004 Shure Musical Roots Concert

Hearing screening vehicle visits music industry trade shows, providing free hearing tests to attendees

In 2002, Shure adopted hearing conservation as its corporate cause and created the Shure Bid for Hearing program, which is dedicated to educating musicians, audio professionals, and consumers on how to enjoy sound in a safe way. The program raises money for hearing conservation charities, like the House Ear Institute’s Sound Partners program, to underwrite the cost of providing free hearing screenings, creating educational publications and films, and funding hearing research studies.

For the past several years, Shure has co-sponsored free hearing screenings with HEI at several pro audio industry trade shows as part of the Sound Partners program.  In addition, Shure has provided financial support to underwrite the production costs of educational materials, and occasionally donated items like autographed microphones as silent auction items for fundraising events. Shure is looking forward to maintaining this positive and productive partnership for many years to come.  Continuing its corporate philanthropic efforts provides another valuable link between the company and its communities.
