Education is a vital
component of our mission and
was fostered by our late
founder Howard P. House,
M.D. In addition to the many
programs that we offer to
researchers and hearing
health professionals, House
Ear Institute presents
public outreach events,
including live and online
activities, throughout the
year. Check back often for
updates.

Explore the human auditory
system on a visit to the
House Ear Institute’s unique
museum-style exhibit –
Journey Through the Human
Ear.
The unique educational
exhibit is meant to be both
fun and educational It
features a larger-than-life
model of the auditory
system, which demonstrates
with animation and audio how
the human ear processes
sound. Text, video, and
graphics complement the
model and illustrate the
hearing process as well as
common hearing loss, ear
diseases and ways to protect
hearing health.
Where
to find it!
