Meet Marissa B. Mendrygal!

House Ear Institute announces Marissa B. Mendrygal as our 2007/08 Trainee for the Energizer Pediatric Audiology Traineeship program. Her 12-month traineeship will commence July 1. Marissa comes to us from the University of Texas Dallas, where she is completing her Au.D. at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders.

The Energizer traineeship program is designed to give doctoral students in clinical audiology specialized, on-the-job training in all areas of pediatric hearing health through a year of intensive, experiential learning in the Institute's world renowned CARE Center.

Marissa is our second Energizer Pediatric Audiology trainee. She follows in the lofty footsteps of our current trainee, Ann Narimasu.

"I am excited and honored to be offered this opportunity to be trained at an institution that is internationally lauded for its work in pediatric habilitation with cochlear implants and hearing aids," said Marissa. "I look forward to my year at the CARE Center."

Welcome aboard, Marissa!
