Audiology Traineeship
![]() The House Ear Institute offers a one-year Pediatric Audiology Traineeship position, open to Master's Degree graduates in Audiology or AuD students in their fourth year, generously sponsored by Energizer Batteries. The Audiology Traineeship position is filled by master’s level audiologists and fourth year AuD students from graduate programs across the United States. The program provides wide-ranging clinical experience and allows the trainees to complete the requirements for both ASHA certification and the Required Professional Experience (RPE) leading to California state licensure. In addition to the opportunity to build clinical skills in a fully supervised setting, he or she receives training on cochlear implant procedures for all manufacturers’ devices and has the opportunity to attend the "Temporal Bone Dissection Course" at the House Ear Institute. The position satisfies requirements for the Clinical Fellowship Year towards ASHA certification as well as the Required Professional Experience toward California State licensure. The next available traineeship is July 2008.
