The House Ear Institute offers a one-year Pediatric Audiology Traineeship position for AuD students in their fourth year.
The Audiology Traineeship position is filled by fourth year AuD students from graduate programs across the United States. The program provides wide-ranging pediatric clinical experience and allows the trainees to complete the requirements for both ASHA certification and the Required Professional Experience (RPE) leading to California state licensure. In addition to the opportunity to build clinical skills in a fully supervised setting, he or she receives training on cochlear implant procedures for all manufacturers’ devices and has the opportunity to attend the "Temporal Bone Dissection Course" at the House Ear Institute.
The next available traineeship begins July 2009. The deadline for applications is January 15, 2009, and applications will be accepted starting in the fall of 2008.
