Children's Auditory Research and Evaluation
(CARE) Center

Infant Testing
Testing of Young Boy
Diagnostic Audiology

We perform a comprehensive battery of diagnostic tests using age-appropriate behavioral tests in the sound booth under earphones and a variety of objective tests including click and tone burst auditory brainstem response (ABR), immittance measures, distortion-product otoacoustic emissions and auditory steady state response (ASSR). The utilization of these techniques allows us to determine, as early and as precisely as possible, the exact nature of our patients' impairments.

The CARE Center Clinic recognizes that auditory processing disorders is an important area of concern for some children but unfortunately we are, at this time, unable to provide comprehensive assessment  for auditory processing disorders.  We do have available a list of suggestions regarding some effective compensatory strategies for helping children with processing problems that may be effective even in absence of a firm diagnosis.  Please contact us for further information.

Cochlear implant pre-evaluations are offered for appropriate candidates. Further details are available in the CARE Center's cochlear implant page.

For information on admission policies, insurance, parking and location, please go to General Information.
