Graduate Student Externships
The Children’s Auditory Research and Evaluation (CARE) Center accepts graduate students in audiology for short term clinical externships throughout the year. We have helped to train students from many different AuD programs across the country, including University of North Carolina, Washington University, University of Michigan, University of Texas, and City University of New York, among others. These externships typically run 6-8 weeks and help students to satisfy their requirements for pediatric assessment, hearing aid fittings, and cochlear implant exposure.
Less frequently, we are able to offer similar clinical externships to speech language pathology graduate students interested in working with children with hearing loss.
If you are interested in more information about these opportunities, please contact Margaret Winter, Coordinator of Clinical Services, in the CARE Center (firstname.lastname@example.org)
