Description:   This checklist can be used to establish auditory goals or to keep track of progress in the area of audition.

Description:   This guide was designed for use with children who are ages one through five, but it can also be adapted for older children. It is used to assist in stimulating the development of speech through listening. There are units for 20 speech sounds with ideas for planning therapy sessions and activities in the classroom. Parents can use this guide as a resource for carryover in the home.

Description: This book explains and supports the auditory-verbal approach.  It was written for parents of children who are deaf and hard of hearing and for therapists and educators who provide services to children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Description: This book provides information about cochlear implant surgery, the history and ethical issues related to cochlear implantation, the importance of therapy, and the roles of parents and professionals.  It also includes information on professional approaches to therapy and personal narratives written by parents.

Description: This is a therapy tool that can be used toward developing discrimination of the sound units of language (e.g., bite-bike). Each of the six booklets has line drawings for initial sound contrasts, final sound contrasts, open-closed contrasts, cluster contrasts, and vowel contrasts.  Considering the wide variety of line drawings used to represent objects, it is important that this tool be used with children who have a foundation in language.

Description: This book provides parents with information on auditory development.  It also provides parents with very specific activities to target listening and language in young children.

Description:  This book was written for therapists and educators who provide intervention to hearing impaired children.  The book provides information regarding the development of spoken language in children with hearing losses. It also provides extensive examples of activities to do with children to promote their integrated use of speech, language and listening.

This websites also includes a free downloadable module from the Listen Up and Talk It Up! Aural Habilitation Programs.
