Biostatistician

Responsibilities:

The Statistician is responsible for data management, including interfacing with database programmer, data cleaning, and data analysis for clinical trials and retrospective chart reviews, documentation of data management and statistical analysis of research projects, providing statistical contributions to study reports, clinical plans, preparation of abstracts and manuscripts upon study completion, as well as various management reports related to clinical research. Ensure appropriate data management control policies are in place. Extensive collaboration with medical researchers in design, analysis and publication of clinical trials.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have an MS in statistics/biostatistics or closely aligned field, outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail-oriented yet flexible, be able to work independently, have excellent troubleshooting skills, and excellent presentation skills. Knowledge of multivariate statistical techniques (regression, factor analysis, discriminant function analysis, longitudinal analyses,); descriptive & inferential statistics (frequencies, ANOVA, t-tests, Univariate statistics); data processing/programming; statistical software applications. Ability to follow through with data management policies and procedures. Knowledge of SPSS or STATA desirable.
