Position:

Post-doctoral Scientist, Human Auditory Development

Summary:

This person will work closely with Dr. Caroline Abdala on projects investigating the development of human peripheral auditory function, using  primarily physiological techniques such as otoacoustic emissions, acoustic reflectance and electrophysiology. This work involves human sujbects ranging in age from infancy through the geriatric period. Dr. Abdala's most recent work includes the assessment of speech perception in older individuals and how it correlates with measures of auditory peripheral physiology. An integral aspect of this position and the eventual goal would be for the post-doctoral scientist to develop an independent line of research in related areas, which may include the submission of an R03 level NIH-NIDCD grant.
