Post-Doc, Laboratory on the Development of Human Auditory Function

I am searching for a post-doctoral scientist to participate in an exciting grant project entitled: Peripheral Auditory Function in Humans: A Continuum of Maturation and Aging. This project will work toward defining maturation and aging of cochlear function, medial efferent system function and the correlation between these processes and speech perception in difficult listening conditions. We are using state-of-the-art DPOAE fine structure methodology and custom-designed, fully automated speech perception programs and techniques.

Currently, the lab includes an enthusiastic team of two research assistants, a systems engineer, an administrative assistant and several renowned collaborators who visit the lab often for consulting and interaction. The post-doc will be involved in all aspects of the research process including data collection (from infants, as well as young/middle-aged adults and the geriatric population) data management/analysis and the dissemination of this work in publications and presentations.

This is a two-year post-doctoral fellowship. During the course of these 2 years, the post-doc will work with the PI of the lab toward independent work and writing his/her own R03 grant (or equivalent).
